Public & Gun Safety
To enhance public safety, protect our schools, our children and our community while also respecting Second Amendment rights, I support a set of specific firearm ownership responsibilities.
I support strengthening the background check system for firearms purchases. This may involve expanding background checks to include private sales and closing loopholes that allow certain individuals to bypass background checks.
I support legislation that cracks down on illegal gun trafficking, including stricter penalties for those engaged in such activities.
I will emphasize the importance of responsible gun ownership through education and training programs, including safe storage practices and gun safety courses.

Invest in & Expand Public Transportation & Infrastructure, Affordable Housing
I am dedicated to revolutionizing public transportation and infrastructure. I am an advocate for increasing state funding and partnerships to expand and modernize public transit systems, making them more efficient and accessible for all residents of Texas. I recognize the pivotal role of infrastructure in community growth and sustainability; I will push for initiatives that not only improve mobility but also create jobs and foster a cleaner environment.
I support a range of affordable housing solutions to address the housing crisis. The goal is to ensure that everyone has access to safe, affordable housing, which is a pressing issue across party lines.
I am an advocate for increasing funding for federal programs like the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) and the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program. These programs help provide housing subsidies and create more affordable rental units.
I will prioritize investing in and revitalizing public housing, ensuring safe and affordable homes for low-income individuals and families.
I will prioritize strategies to combat homelessness, such as increasing funding for homeless assistance programs, supporting permanent supportive housing, and providing mental health and addiction services.
Economy, Increase Minimum Wage & Protect Small Businesses
Expanding our economy and creating opportunities means not only supporting local businesses and seeking federal grants but also carefully managing community spending. A significant portion of our personal budgets goes towards housing, taxes, healthcare, and childcare, all of which fall under the purview of local policies that I can influence as your Representative.
A top priority for me is ensuring access to quality education, healthcare, and social services for children and families, and securing the necessary grant funding to make it happen. I will be a staunch advocate for policies that guarantee every child has an equal opportunity to succeed, regardless of their family's economic status.
I understand the importance of a living wage for all Texans. I will advocate for policies that not only raise the minimum wage but also provide support for small businesses to thrive in this new economic landscape. My approach includes tax incentives and resources to help small businesses adjust, ensuring a win-win for workers and entrepreneurs alike.
Limit Prescription Drug Prices
The rising cost of prescription drugs is a major concern for many Texans. I am determined to work on legislation that caps inflated prescription drug prices, ensuring that essential medications are affordable for all, especially the elderly and those with chronic conditions. My aim is to make healthcare more equitable and accessible, leaving no Texan behind. Healthcare & Medicaid Expansion
I will prioritize expanding Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act (ACA). This expansion aims to provide healthcare coverage to more low-income individuals and families, ensuring they have access to affordable and quality healthcare services.
I support adopting policies that require health insurance plans to cover a comprehensive set of essential health benefits, including preventive care, maternity care, mental health services, and prescription drugs. This ensures that individuals have access to a broad range of necessary healthcare services.
I support the expansion of telehealth services, allowing individuals to access healthcare remotely in rural areas of Texas so that patients in those areas are able to access essential health services from physicians.
Fully Fund Public Education
Public education as a fundamental right and a crucial aspect of a just and equitable society. I will advocate for increased funding and resources for public schools, with the aim of providing quality education for all students, regardless of their socioeconomic background.
I support measures such as expanding access to early childhood education, reducing class sizes, improving teacher salaries and training, and increasing funding for school infrastructure and resources.
Immigration
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is entrusted with overseeing the entry of migrants across the border. To align with Federal Immigration policies, state-level solutions may include expediting the provision of temporary housing for faster placement and immigration hearing, while discontinuing the costly practice of arbitrarily relocating individuals to other states.
The installation of razor wires along the Texas/Mexico border and the placement of buoys in the Rio Grande River near Eagle Pass have shown limited effectiveness. To address these issues, we must emphasize collaboration with the federal government and international partners to find comprehensive solutions.
Family Values, Women's Rights, Diversity, & Inclusion
I see family values through the lens of inclusivity, diversity, and equality. My policies focus on individual autonomy and personal choices.
I support promoting inclusivity and acceptance of diverse family structures and advocate for equal rights and protections for all families, regardless of their composition.
I strongly advocate for equal opportunities for women in the workforce, supporting policies that promote work-life balance, and addressing gender-based violence and discrimination.
Women’s Rights Are Human Rights! I support a woman's right to make private decisions about her body. Family planning choices should be made by individuals and their families, free from political interference or vested interests.
